HUNGRY ON MONDAY is an      alternative pop-rock group currently based in northern Virginia. Formed in 2015 as a side project among childhood friends, founding members Noah Poncin, Aidan Bruecken and Nathan Dahlman quickly realized they had the potential to become much more than a local garage band.
As momentum picked up in fall of 2016, the trio recruited their longtime friend Michael Preston to play bass guitar. Soon after that they recorded their debut EP, Hungry on Monday, at M80 studio in their hometown of Purcellville, VA. The EP received massive praise for its intricate blend of rock, jazz, pop, alternative and funk.
After the release of Hungry on Monday, the band started playing non-stop in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. During the winter of 2016 they added pianist Ted Gallegos to the group as a surprise for several shows in their hometown. This addition elevated their sound to even greater heights, and Gallegos became a permanent member of the Hungry on Monday family.
In May of 2017 the band set out to write and record their second project. With Michael Preston, Noah Poncin and Aidan Bruecken spearheading the process, they were determined to create a record that was truly unique. During this time, tragedy struck with the unexpected and sudden passing of their producer, mentor and dear friend. Ever determined, the group spent countless days and nights writing and recording a heartfelt tribute to their friend, and completed the EP Hideaway in his memory.
Hungry on Monday continues to perform throughout northern Virginia, Washington DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis in 2018. They're also working on more original songs to add to their repertoire.
